History of Faithfulness and Friendliness
Grace Baptist Church is a friendly, welcoming and faithful witness with deep roots in the Merrimack and Bedford communities.
Our church was started in 1974 by Rev. Stanley Rockafellow, a church-planting missionary with the Conservative Baptist Home Missions Society.
The first service was held on Easter Sunday 1975 at Mastricola Middle School. As we grew, services were held at the high school, and then at Mastricola Middle School. Eight acres of land was purchased on Bedford Road.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in October 1977. The first worship service in the new building was held on Easter Sunday 1978. Grace Christian School opened on December 1 of that same year. In 1985, an education wing was added.
